Reel Bar History
Opened in 2014, the Reel Bar is a relatively new addition to downtown Put-in-Bay’s thriving population of bars and restaurants. Since its grand opening, however, Reel Bar has quickly become cherished by locals and visitors alike. Known colloquially as “Reel New Bar in a Reel Old Place” this bar is located in the same building as Tony’s Place, which was a longstanding favorite on the island. The new owners went above and beyond to ensure that island visitors feel at home. Remodeled with natural materials like stone and repurposed barn wood, Reel Bar’s bucolic décor extends an immediate welcome to travelers just before they are greeted by a friendly staff.
