The Butterfly House Gift Shop is 500 square feet of butterfly lover’s paradise! There are all kinds of unique gifts, figurines, and jewelry. The gift shop also has a variety of framed butterfly specimens available for purchase. There is a wide variety of educational gifts and toys to educate kids of all ages. The Butterfly House opened in 2004 and is a 4,000 square foot home to paths of breathtaking landscaping and the home to well over 50 species of butterflies from around the world.

Keep an eye out for the dazzling Mosaic from Central America, the Orchard Swallowtail from Australia, and look extra hard for the Dead Leaf Butterfly from Southwest Asia. The Dead Leaf Butterfly is a beautiful gradient of oranges and blues on the top but amazingly looks just like a dead leaf underneath. It often sits motionless in the trees with its “stem” touching the branches making it almost impossible to spot!

Can you spot all the species of butterflies that live in the Butterfly House? Make sure to visit the Butterfly House website prior to your arrival to view a Butterfly Identification Chart. Here you can view the different species housed at the Butterfly House and prepare yourself for the ultimate hunt in locating all the different species.
