 Mojito Bay at Put-in-Bay

Mojito Bay is a cool little tiki hut bar and has quickly become an island favorite. The floor is covered entirely with sand and traditional barstools are replaced with swings. Take a swing at the bar and sip one of their many mojitos as the sun sets over the island.  Their motto is “Drink in hand, toes in the sand” and when you’re there, you can’t argue with that!

Known for having the best mojito on the island starting with their house-made simple syrup. Muddling fresh mint and lime wedges to release and infuse all the natural flavors with the ice, rum, and a splash of charged water to finish it off. They serve up a whole range of flavors from lime to pomegranate to tropical surprise, which is full of flavor! A full bar and a beer and wine list round the menu out.

Mojito Bay Particulars

The very basis for every Mojito is the handcrafted simple syrup. From there only your imagination is the limiting factor when it comes to creating Mojitos. The First Mojitos were believed to have been created in Cuba, Havana more specifically in the 15th century. Thru the years the recipes and flavors have grown in popularity and in the 1950s Ernest Hemingway introduced the Mojito to the United States. The Mojito is Cub’s National Drink and Hemingway was often observed frequenting La Bodeguita del Medio in the Old Town to sip his favorite Mojito. While visiting Mojito Bay you will likely see some of their well known Put-in-Bay Entertainment acts such as Allie Market, The Gryphons or the Flying J’s.
