Christmas in July at Put-in-Bay Approaches

Island businesses decorate for this annual "holiday" weekend, July 26-29 this year. Tinsel and twinkling lights abound all over downtown, in the park, in the front windows of shops, and all around the bars and restaurants. Not to be outdone, the annual Christmas Eve parade this year will feature a record number of "floats" and good times will be had by all. Food and beverage specials in a Christmas theme are featured throughout the island and there is much "eggnog" to be found.

This event is one of the busiest weekends of the year so be sure to make your hotel reservations early for next year, as this year sold out by February! Some people actually book their rooms when they check-out on Sunday morning, and many smaller hotels are filled by January for the next year!!! Great live entertainment and nearly the entire downtown area is decorated for Christmas. The Jet Express offers extra late-night ferry service for this special event if you can't get a room on the island and have to come over as a day-tripper.
