The Wharfside stocks essentials and toiletries, along with boating and fishing accessories. Also available are your favorite drinks and snacks as well as cold beer and cigarettes. At the Wharfside, you can purchase your State of Ohio Fishing Licenses before heading out on Lake Erie. Known as the Walleye Capital of the World, fisherman regularly reel in fish around 18 inches. If you are lucky enough, you can catch Walleye reaching around 26 inches.
Besides Walleye, other common catches for Lake Erie are Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch. Yellow Perch is a local favorite which can be served up all season at the local Put-in-Bay Restaurants. Located in the harbor next to the Boardwalk, Wharfside and Topsy Turvey are located on Bayview Avenue. Come in for a waterfront view of beautiful Lake Erie.

Known for both their Cuban and Rueben Sandwiches, this Waterview and waterfront front spot will quickly become one of your favorites. Along with their famous sandwiches, Topsy Turvey serves up delicious Brandy Alexanders and Bloody Mary’s. With a laid back and casual atmosphere where fisherman are always welcome, stop by and a grab a bite to eat and drink while overlooking the lake.

Put-In-Bay has become a well-known destination for everyone including families, boaters, fisherman, and friends. There are Put-in-Bay docks available downtown and throughout the island. The most popular and talked about docks are located right in the heart of downtown. Included in the downtown docks are the Village Docks and DeRivera Docks which can both be rented overnight. These docks are in close proximity to the public restrooms which include lockers and showers. Electric hookups are provided.
Private docks and clubs include the Park Place Boat Club and the Put-in-Bay Yacht Club. The Put-in-Bay Yacht Club features Friday Dinners and many popular events held throughout the summer including regattas.
Located at the Keys Restaurant Complex is The Park Place Boat Club. Guest also will enjoy The Boardwalk which is actually a central location for 5 different restaurants. Boardwalk is known for their world famous lobster bisque and their spectacular views of Lake Erie. The fastest and best way to get to the island if you aren’t lucky enough to have your own boat is on the Jet Express Ferry. The Jet Express docks downtown on Bayview Avenue and is just a short walk to the Wharfside and Boardwalk.
