On a hot summer day, their refreshment center offers ice cold sodas, water, tea and a variety of snacks. A perfect place to grab an ice cream bar while waiting on your ferry. Restrooms are conveniently located just to the left of the Dockside Gifts.
The ferry transports thousands of people to Put-in-Bay each year who stay for the day or several days at our wide variety of Put-in-Bay Hotels. Put-in-Bay Transportation Options
Once you’ve arrived on the island your Put-in-Bay Golf Carts will be the preferred method of transportation. Reservations are strongly recommended and should be made online. Taxi service is available at an average rate of about $3.00 per person anywhere on the island. For the more adventurous Moped and bicycles are available at Put-in-Bay Rentals right downtown on the main strip.
Things to do near Dockside Gifts
Be sure to continue on down Langram road to the dead end where you will find the South Bass Island Lighthouse which is open tot he public and offers a variety of education and family fun programs.
Also just up the road is the Put-in-Bay Airport where you and a friend can hop into a restored WACO Put-in-Bay Bi-Plane Ride. There is simply no words to describe the beauty and excitement of this popular Put-in-Bay Attraction.
If you have the kids along for the ride a quick stop at the Adventure Bay Amusement Park is sure to put a smile on their face where go-karts, batting cages, and video games await and a full-service bar is ready to provide Mom & Dad a frosty beverage of choice.
Another fun place sure to please the kids is the Put-in-Bay Aquatic Center operated by the Ohio State University where kids fish free with equipment provided and learn all about Lake Erie in a fun-filled environment.
