Tippers Restaurant Put-in-Bay

Located next to the world’s longest bar at the Beer Barrel Saloon, Tipper’s Restaurant featuring Seafood and Steak House on Put-in-Bay serves up delicious surf and turf in a friendly, casual environment.

Tipper’s Seafood and Steak House Particulars

This popular buffet-style restaurant serves up heaping plates of delicious and filling food. Happy hour is offered daily and they are open until 9 pm every day, even during the offseason. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner Specializing in steak and seafood, Tipper’s buffet and menu items are certainly impressive. On the weekends they offer special buffets, such as the Seafood Buffet and the Prime Rib Buffet served every Friday evening beginning at 5pm.

The Prime Rib Buffet is the highlight of Saturday night at Tippers. Beginning at 5 pm, an impressive spread is laid out for all you can eat service.

The regular menu features Perch and Walleye specialties, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, and wings. A breakfast buffet is also served every Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8 am.

The Beer Barrel Saloon

Hosting live entertainment from April to October, the Beer Barrel is a favorite of both tourists and locals alike. Live music begins in May on the weekends and expands to daily events June through August. The calendar is then paired down once fall rolls around. Some of the best musicians and bands in the region play at the Beer Barrel Saloon. This includes Captain Sweet Shoes, Mustang Sally, The Menus, Kenny Kidd, and Dan Stewart, just to name a few. This 405 foot, 10-inch bar is even taller than Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument. This impressive far features 160 bar stools, 56 beer taps and a seating capacity of 1,200. On busy nights the bar employs over 20 bartenders and also opens two extra bars in the back and side of the building. This is a “must see” destination when visiting Put-in-Bay.

Tipper’s and the Beer Barrel Saloon are both located at the site of the old Colonial Building. This beautiful wooden structure the Colonial tragically burned down in 1988. During its almost 100-year history, the Colonial Building was home to a variety of businesses, from a dance hall to a skating rink, and also a bowling alley.

Around the neighborhood near Tippers

The surrounding area is full of fun and exciting things to do. All summer long, visitors flock to Put-in-Bay to enjoy fishing on the lake, nature walks on the island, extraordinary shopping and the fine dining and bar scene in the Village of Put-in-Bay.

If you travel to the island on the Jet Express Ferry, you’ll find yourself in the heart of downtown upon disembarking. Enjoying lake views at The Keys or live music at Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grille. Along with the Beer Barrel Saloon and Tipper’s, these establishments make summers on Put-in-Bay one to remember!
