A Put-in-Bay Fishing Charter is a great family or corporate team building experience. Local Put-in-Bay Charter Boat Captains offer visitors both full and half day charters. Your package will generally include your bait, tackle, Ohio Fishing License and an expert guide who knows where the best places to fish in Lake Erie are.
Most boats can accommodate up to 6 people and are known as a “six-pack” boat. Larger boats can take groups upwards of 40 people and are referred to as “head boats” or “walk on charters” Charter boat captains at Put-in-Bay are licensed by the United States Coast Guard, the State of Ohio and have been fishing the waters around the Bass Islands since they were children.
Put-in-Bay Fishing Charter Half Day
One of the more popular packages offered is the half day charter. Generally priced around $450 this allows you to choose to depart early in the morning or in the afternoon if you anticipate a long night before enjoying the Put-in-Bay Bars & Nightlife!
Put-in-Bay Fishing Charter Full Day
For those who wish to experience the best opportunity for a “limit out catch” the full day charter generall departs early morning and concludes late afternoon. The full-day package gives your Captain greater flexibility to move around the lake to put you where the best fishing action is located.
Both Charters offer cold beverages, box lunches upon request, and of course, you are welcome to bring along your own favorite frosty cold adult beverage of choice. Don’t forget to bring along a cooler! Your Charter guide will clean and prep your fish for an additional $1 per pound. Put-in-Bay Hotels will be happy to place your cooler in their large walk-in coolers until you are ready to depart.
