ATM Machines are located in the lobby of the Put-in-Bay Resort, and in front of the Edgewater Hotel on the main street in downtown Put-in-Bay.

There are two full-service repair shops at Put-in-Bay. Both are qualified to repair vehicles of all makes and models. Parts can normally be shipped over on the ferry boat same or next day to Put-in-Bay as there is no auto parts store on the island.

First National Bank is the only full-service bank at Put-in-Bay. The local branch is open: Early November to mid-Spring on Wednesdays, 9:30 to 2:30 p.m., Mid-May through Mid-September on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, 9:30 to 2:30 p.m., and Mid-September to Early November on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:30 to 2:30 p.m. Hours are limited, please call the bank for additional information.

Put-in-Bay offers two public boat ramps. One located at the end of Catawba Ave at the South Bass Island State Park and the other is located downtown Put-in-Bay off of Bayview Ave near the Jet-Express terminal. Reservations are not required.

There are two-century-old cemeteries located on the south side of Put-in-Bay near South Bass Island State Park.

Put-in-Bay Investments offers all types of general contracting at Put-in-Bay including new construction, dock installation, demolition, earth moving, insect control and concrete work. The Put-in-Bay Gazette is Put-in-Bay’s only newspaper and has been covering island news stories for over 20 years. The Put-in-Bay Gazette is widely found on the island and may be ordered for home delivery.

For emergencies dial 911! Under the command of Chief Steve Riddle, The Put-in-Bay Police Department is located in the Basement Level of the Clock Tower Town Hall Building. The location is within the Village of Put-in-Bay, and in close proximity to the very busy downtown district. The police department includes a dispatch department, which dispatches for the various emergency services of Put-in-Bay, including the Put-in-Bay Police, Fire and EMS. They are a great source for additional Put-in-Bay Information.

For emergency services dial 911 immediately! Put-in-Bay EMS services the island. Put-in-Bay uses St. Vincent Life Flight for air transport on many critically injured or ill patients due to the isolated nature of our islands.

For emergencies dial 911! Put-in-Bay Fire Department is a volunteer organization. Approximately twenty-five volunteers are on call 24 hours. Put-in-Bay Fire and Rescue proudly serves 500 year-round residents living on nine islands and 20,000 people or more daily during tourist season.

The first church built at Put-in-Bay, St. Paul’s Episcopal, was built in 1865. Jay Cooke paid it for on land donated by Jose DeRivera.

The parish community began in 1866 when Mass was offered in island homes. Mass was celebrated in the first church, located on Put-in-Bay Road, starting in 1876. When it became evident that a larger church was required to handle the needs of summer visitors, the current church was built and ready for use in 1929. It is located at 632 Catawba Avenue. Mass is scheduled every Sunday at 10:30 AM. During the summer, there is also a Mass every Saturday at 5:30 PM. You are welcome to visit Mother of Sorrows Church anytime during daylight hours.
